I realize that I have a few posts of my IDV OC, Cas… But I haven’t talked about Cas. So!! I’ll talk about him so my followers actually know who he is when I show him 🥹
STORY 📚
This is Casimir Valentin, otherwise known as The Tailor. Before he went to the manor he owned a boutique in London. This boutique was mysteriously burned down one night after something (or someone) caused a fire. His hands, shoulders, arms and chest were burned (some of my works of him is outdated I’m very sorry-) in result of this. After loosing years of work, and no idea what could have possibly caused the fire, he was absolutely devastated and fell into a depression of his lost work.
Many theories of what happened to Casimirs Boutique floated around his area of London for a short time, some saying that he could have possibly burned his own building down to earn money after he was starting to lose business. Others say that Casimir was fully unaware of what was going to happen to his Boutique that night. These theories quickly faded as most peoples attention were drawn to the recent murders that happened around the same time as the Boutiques burning.
At some point, Valentin got a letter in the mail from a mysterious “Otelus Manor”.
The manor found interest in his work, and the many outfits and designs that he created would be wonderful displays for the manor. If he could possibly… come and work for them, they would pay him wonderfully in exchange.
Not only would they pay him, they would also reveal the true culprit behind the burning of his Boutique.
With a family he needs to help support, and years worth of outfit designing under his belt, he entered into the manors game, not knowing much what to expect…
PERSONALITY 🎭
Casimir’s stoic and brooding demeanor often intimidates others at a glance. However, he can be pretty gentle and cater to others. It’s the customer service mentality. He’s soft-spoken, yet blunt at times, unafraid to speak the truth.
EXTERNAL TRAITS 👤
( Just as a warning, I do not know if these traits are balanced AT ALL. This is just for fun! )
- Outfit Switch - Casimir is a incredible tailor with many tricks up his sleeve. When entering into a locker you have the choice to “change” into another character. You temporarily disguise as another player. You do not get this other characters abilities, however you are an exact visual copy until you are hit by the hunter or enter into a locker again. If the survivor you took the appearance of was hurt when you “change” into them, you will appear hurt.
[ Awareness ] - Casimir was cautious when walking home alone at night with a murderer on the loose, and always thought of good places to hide. Upon entering into a lockers radius, your trail entirely disappears, and will be active for around 5 seconds. It takes 60 seconds (1 minute) to recharge.
- Urgency - Casimir works well under pressure, entering and exiting a locker speed is increased by 50% (he has a different animation so it doesn’t look as silly in my mind but also feel free to imagine the regular locker animation just incredibly sped up)
- Intricacy - Detail is important in his work. Casimir can only heal in 12.5% increments. Healing is slower but can also heal chip damage.
- Exhaustion - Finally… a break. When not near the hunters radius, running/walking/crouching speed is reduced by 10%. When not in the hunters radius, the scope of success in calibrations are reduced by 40%

- Likes: (Andrew, Aesop.) Dimly lit rooms, acknowledgment of his work (it doesn’t happen as often as it should), designing.
- Dislikes: Jack the Ripper, fire, the smell of gasoline.
(NOTE: The likes and dislikes are generally these general concepts and tend to be oversimplifications of a characters personality, and should not be seen as only this. Thats just me writing in the IDV format.)

MISC. 📑
- There is a sort of joke theory around the manor that he’s a vampire. He is not. He just wears black and walks around with a lace parasol. He’s just a guy.
- He wishes to be called Mr. Valentin, but most of the time people in the manor just call him Cas or Val. He doesn’t mind, but he would prefer that if you are professionally referring to him, please call him Mr. Valentin.
- A lot of the general outfit themes are created by the manor Baron himself. The Baron commissions both Ms. Nightingale and Casimir to create outfits for essences. Both create designs and bring them to the Baron to see what designs he likes best. Then, Cas usually is the one who does a lot of the sewing and creating of the outfits. In order to get alot of these outfits done, he pulls all nighters… quite often actually.
- In order to give Cas more time to create commissioned works, Cas does not appear in games as often as other survivors do. He has ran in last minute for matches multiple times because he had to run halfway across the manor to get to where hes supposed to be.
- Speaking of, Cas has to run around. A TON. He typically is the one calling hunters and survivors from their rooms to do measurements for outfits, and at this point anytime someone gets a knock on their door its like… 40% Cas asking them to do quick measurements.
- He is very stoic somehow despite all of this work. He takes alot of pride and joy into all the work he does for the outfits of the manor.
- However he is very overworked and tired most days. Days he does have where there is NO work is a rarity and god does he appreciate them.
- He enjoys coffee with some nice sweet creamer in there… its something to look forward to.
- In… some timelines, I def do like to put him in a poly relationship with Andrew and Aesop as his two other boyfriends. They are in love and holding hands. Only in my mind. You might see some posts come up of designs based off of other essences that involve Andrew and Aesop, its me inserting my Very Cool And Fun OC into the mix and having fun with it.
- Andrew and Aesop love him to death and hate to see him overworked so sometimes they try their best to take over designing for him. This comes up with very… uh… mixed results. Its not that they’re bad ideas! They’re just not executed in ways that are exactly viable or workable sometimes…
- All of them (Aesop, Andrew, and Cas) have a tendency to stay up at night and tend to all work at night, Cas just stays up during the day. AND the night. And YES its unhealthy he is very aware.
- He is very stoic and very calm most of the time, HOWEVER he has the ability to be very blunt and is not afraid to correct or openly defend something. He is not that much of a doormat, thank you very much.
